This is a Theros/Khans Standard mill-win, discard/control deck. Yes, I realize this is not a popular strategy, usually because it's never supported well enough. Wizards wants us to attack life points. I beg to differ! This list is meant to be competitive and still under minor tweaking. I have played a version of this in tournament before the recent Khans rotation, and thought it did not do well, neither did it get stomped, including against Rabble Red and Boros devotion. Now that the RtR craziness has died and Standard is new and exciting again, I am eager to start competing! Suggestions and discussions are encouraged.

The deck makes heavy use of tapping/untapping creatures and the Inspired mechanic. Phenax, God of Deception is the win-con with plenty of devotion-heavy permanents to help activate him and do some work himself. Triton Tactics is a beast for adding tempo to the historically slow mill strategy and, with Springleaf Drum , activating Inspired on demand. Dakra Mystic + Siren of the Silent Song provide a nice synergy to lock down the opponent's hand and options. Liliana Vess and Disciple of Deceit help with searching for the all-important final card or two to seal the game.

Updates Add

Welp, this is being retired to casual status. I was hoping to at least make a splash at the GPT, given the decent performance at the TCGPlayer Open, but nope. 0-2 first two matches and then byed. Darn. On to new things.
