Help with Innistrad Standard!

Deck Help forum

The new standard is upon us, as tonight is the eve of Innistrad. As the darkness of Innistrad is about to spread across the world of mtg standard I wonder, "what deck should I play". So I ask you, tappedout community, to help me decide this.

Before rotation I played a very good U//W Bounce Control deck. But with the absence of Wall of Omens and Celestial Colonnade U/W control took a huge hit.

I have the entire landbasses for G/W and U/W. So I'm thinking something along those lines. Right now I'm leaning to a sort of G/W/U Birthing Pod deck. Or something of the sort. Suggestions, deck lists, ideas... All are welcome.

For those of you who agree with my Idea of a G/W/U pod deck, what cards do you think I should choose.

Lastly, price is an object. Something to bare in mind. Although if I do become attached to an idea I'll find a way to make it become a reality.

Thanks, Basuldur

I ran a Bant Pod deck before rotation, and I Loved it.

Basically, run some acceleration like Birds of Paradise and Llanowar Elves up to your utility creatures that cost 3 and 4, be they aggro or stall or get rid of something annoying you. Acidic Slime has held a spot (if not two or three) in the 5 cmc slot in every deck i've ever seen, just for being awesome. Then you've got your titans in the 6 spot (Sun Titan makes for some great combos with Phantasmal Image ) and Wurmcoil Engine often makes an appearance as he leaves behind tokens to be buffed by your seven drop Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite . Venser, the Sojourner , Mimic Vat , Parallel Lives , and other goodies are fun to play with.

Essentially, lots of different enter the battlefield/leave the battlefield effects and lots of fun. I'm currently in the process of making my deck legal for post zendikar, but here's is my tentative decklist :)

Oh, and depending on what you want to do this deck can be a little pricy. If you already have the right land base then that cuts a lot out of the cost but I've been slowly building this for a while so I don't just break my bank lol

... With a Touch of the Infernal. Thats my version. Lemme check out yours, I have a bunch of venser. And maybe your deck will be more along the lines of what I can afford.
