What is your favorite card/deck to play against in EDH?

Whenever an opponent plays an Armageddon and it resolves, suddenly the game gets really interesting, really fast. You have to count out how much mana you have left, if any, and decide how to use the resources you already have out to manage a board state. Politics comes in big, because if you had a bunch of setup but didn't lay out your plan, you might not get to, and could get steamrolled by someone that had their plan out on the field.

Aiming to align yourself with the best players, rebuild as fast as possible, and not get targetted in the new landscape where what's in hand is often stranded becomes really useful.

I also love decks based around copying/stealing your opponents cards. They are always powerful, but never super powerful because they play with their opponent's cards! You can run them anywhere, and it's really fun!

I hear similar stories about other cards, whether they are political, like most monarch cards, or certain decks that aim to bring a new style of game to the table, like with Zedruu the Greathearted or Pramikon, Sky Rampart.

All of these cards can be awful or fun to play, but personally I find them most fun to play against. What do you all like playing against? Any cards? Any decks?

I love playing against the Praetors, and I know that sounds insane but it's such a challenge to overcome, and usually everyone at the table pools their resources to get rid of it.

Mutate piles are fun to watch grow, as well.

I like playing against big dumb creature decks. Most of my deck are not creature focused. So its seeing how my decks can Terminate the creatures or keep them at bay until I can hopefully win.

I like playing against aggro, burn in particular, in a non-laddering scene. It just feels really good to stabilize, and the losses are respectable and fair.
I also like incremental damage effects like extort. They don’t rush the game, but they help apply pressure to make the game reach a natural conclusion faster.

I'm weirdly a big fan of Nekusar decks? They really put a deck to the speed test on how quickly you can use the additional card advantage to your benefit before a couple wheels come down. I also really enjoy small life tax effects like DuTogira. They don't feel unfair and just help the game go a little quicker. Finally, I am a huge fan of Morophon decks in general because I never know what the tribes going to be. I've never been bored when a morophon's at the table because I can't help but nerd out over whatever tribe they have as a fellow weird morophon player myself. God, I love this format so much.

I also love playing with/against Nekusar, the Mindrazer. Everyone’s decks get added gas, and a clock is started on the game length. Two of the best things for mtg.

Ditto on Nekusar, the Mindrazer, because gameclock stuff. I like playing against Jodah, Archmage Eternal because I like unpredictable goodstuff. Brallin, Skyshark Rider  Flip is super fun because I like how wheels wreck up plans. Thantis, the Warweaver is a romping good time. Mogis, God of Slaughter is a great game-clock slug deck that has a lot of equal opportunity destruction.

Playing against a Group Hug Xyris, the Writhing Storm deck is always funny. Hey you like card draw? Im gonna make you hate it! My friends Xyris deck had us drawing 6 cards every turn it was nuts. It made all our card draw cards become dead cards in our deck.

For me my favorite deck for a goofy fun play is my Yasova Dragonclaw clone deck. It's filled with copy cards. So the whole game im copying everyone elses cards and blending their strategies together into this giant blob and humor. For instance in a match with this deck against that Xyris deck our other friend was playing Niv-Mizzet, Parun and I stole both commanders and it got out of hand fast.
