This isn't really a rules question, so you might want to try the commander deck help section of the forums. However, I would recommend you try out Nicol Bolas as a commander for your Grixis colored deck.

Nicol Bolas is probably the best commander for the job, and not just because flavor. His ability will trigger even from noncombat damage, so if you include various spells and auras that say "target/enchanted creature deals damage to target player," you can force discards near constantly. It's great.

I've thought a lot about this and I came up with Vial Smasher the Fierce and Kraum, Ludevic's Opus. None of the other Grixis Commanders really lend themselves well to a Grixis goodstuff deck. Jeleva is a spellslinger commander, Nekusar is a wheel/card draw general, etc. That, and Vial Smasher being so good, led my to look at the partners. We don't want Silas Renn, Seeker Adept because you're not making an artifact deck and so that leaves you with choosing from Kraum, Ludevic's Opus and Ludevic himself. Since Ludevic helps your opponents, I opted for Kraum, even though you'll rarely cast him (but in those few instances that you'd want him, he's better than Ludevic).

I hope this helps!

That, and casting bolas and Blood Tyrant is amazing while vial smasher is in play!

Thank you for suggesting Nicol Bolas I just bought him after I saw that comment. And I know this wasn't a rule, sorry. And bluemage. Those guys couldn't be my commander, they aren't completely red black and blue

They have an ability called "Partner" that lets you run both as your commander. Since their combined color identity is RUB (Vial Smasher being RB and Kraum being UR), you can run a Grixis deck with them. This is 100% legal. Please refer to rule 702.123c in the Comprehensive Rules.

Nicol Bolas is kinda awful, not gonna lie. He is expensive, has no protection and the effect is mediocre in late game.

Without a theme, I would recommend Thraximundar as the strongest stand-alone grixis general, although Kraum, Ludevic's Opus + Vial Smasher the Fierce is also a good choice.

I also built a grixis deck recently, but my drive was Cruel Ultimatum, so I chose Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge. I also run Vial Smasher the Fierce, who I recommend a lot!

If you're looking at Nicol Bolas as a commander but don't like that high of a cmc, nor the upkeep cost there is also the slightly worse version of the ability on Crosis, the Purger
