Tapped Lands —Aug. 23, 2019

I come up with two things:

  1. I don't need to rush on get 5 color lands in play, in the early game the deck just need green and coloress; and

  2. With the number of tapped lands my game was very slow.

With this is mind I cut a lot of multicolored tapped lands to give place to coloress lands that can make colors tapping creatures and basics, now the deck is running more smothly in the early turns, casting signets and ramp creature more easily and in the correct turn.

Marshal's Anthem is one of my favourite budget cards in my Tazri deck being fantastic for late-game recovery to make a final push or worst case it's just a nice anthem.

I would argue that Deadeye Navigator is so good in this deck that it's worth spending a few bucks for even for a super-budget build but if you don't want to buy it, Flickerform is another decent choice for the deck. For example, in a similar price range, I would say Deadeye is a lot better than Brago, King Eternal in this deck due to the amount of flexibility it provides, being able to cause rallies BEFORE combat, not to mention going infinite with Chasm Guide and Harabaz Druid .

I noticed some suggestions about Harmonize , but you could potentially go for something like Guardian Project (or similar effect) instead since the deck is already built around creature ETBs.

One more suggestion would be to try to include at least a couple more flicker instants such as Illusionist's Stratagem or Acrobatic Maneuver . Being able to flicker allies while you have Hero or Evangel on the field for protection is almost vital so you want to be able to do this consistently during other players' turns. Join the Ranks is in a similar position: never underestimate being able to get allies to hit the board at instant speed!

First, thank you for the time spent in helping. Let's begin:

Hmm, I really liked Anthem, the problem I see is that to revive 2 creatures I have to spend 8 mana, man, that a lot.

Deadeye is great, but is CMC 6, and going infinite with 3 creatures in a deck that lacks fast tutors is a bit of a risk, if your draw this in the early he dies in your hand.

Now that you mention about Brago you made me think again, he doens's look too great, and sincerely, hadn't done much lately... I'm really thinking of changing it for a flicker card or Join the Ranks...

What do you think about Displace in the Brago's slot?

Excellent suggestion for a draw card, I definitely want to add it, now I have to think of what to cut.

I'm sorry for not accept all your suggestions, but I really like to play low cost spells, I think similar to Josh from Command Zone, I need to do stuff from the beggining in order to make the game fun for me.

Totally fair! My Tazri list plays a little more slowly so I often don't mind the higher CMC cards so I understand you not wanting to use some of those for a more aggressive build (my deck can be a bit slow actually so maybe I'll take some inspiration from your list too!)

One thing to keep in mind, Deadeye is so much more than just a piece of an infinite combo and really brings the deck together if you can get him out. I understand the CMC being an issue I suppose though. As for the tutors though, Deadeye + Tazri is a very powerful tutor combo to grab whatever ally you want to help close out a game if an aggressive strategy gets shut down.

I personally would try to have Displace as well as Brago, but with preference probably going to Displace between the two. They can both be good with Brago being a bit more greedy and Displace being much more flexible.

Tottaly agree.

I Will sit down and think about Deadeye.

The real Power with brago is blinking like five Allies and with ALL the triggers in the Stack You have 25 times the effect, with Hagra Diabolist and Halimar its pretty strong.

I only Know Ghostway and Eerie Interlude that do this, and only one time. This IS the more powerfull the triggers can get, in order to do this so You can Blink Zada, but this way each ally enter one at a time, didnt "cheat" the triggers

I would like to emphasize that today the deck has passed $ 50 and will not return.

Sorry, I had cut some cards in the past weeks but I can not hold it anymore.
