I think it rocks.

I would take out Gray Merchant of Asphodel + Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and put in 4 Deadbridge Goliath but I do realize that takes away from the zombie aspect. I also wouldn't have 2 whips in there it's a dead card if you draw them with one in your hand already. and the last thing I might do would be take out 1 Primeval Bounty and add another Grisly Salvage

I'd prefer to keep in the Jarad and Gray Merchants as they are both Zombies so add to the theme, but also their abilities are useful too.

I was already thinking of swapping out a whip for the Bow of Nylea? I don;t know what your thoughts would be towards that?

Primeval bounty is just a fun extra little card. The deck would theoretically run fine without it, but there is no way any deck could outrun the creation of boars and life gain from this deck.

The only think I can do is see how it actually runs in my next FNM and casually and see what needs doing.

As for the bow yeah I think it's a great card to add to almost any deck because of it's diversity. as for me i'd take out fun cards and add ones that will help save you're creatures like Ranger's Guile or Mending Touch theres ssoooo much removal at the FNM games these days it's crazey, at least where I am anyways. I'm not a fan of the slow sorcery speed Commune with the Gods using Grisly Salvage on your opponents turn is quite useful. Either way I wish you luck at your next FNM Black and green rule!

Thank you! I'm using commune with the gods as a way of tutoring out the Whip? Better than Diabolic Tutor in my opinion. I will be sideboarding a lot of removal for sure. Doom blade and such, but also I will need protecting. I never knew either of them cards existed until now, so thank you again!

Nighthowler can be dangerous, also Deathrite Shaman if you're willing to spend the money

I have both those cards. However, they don't fit into the theme of the deck as they're not zombies. But thank you anyway!

What would you suggest to remove in place for the Dreg Mangler ? I can't see what to remove.

You may want to add Golgari Guildgate and maybe Sylvan Caryatid to help out with your mana. Even though it isn't a zombie, Nighthowler could work here as well. It gets fat from your graveyard, it has a reasonable bestow cost, and it is a very inexpensive card. If you ever come into some extra money or just get lucky then maybe adding Overgrown Tomb and Lifebane Zombie would help while still keeping the feel that the deck already has.

So.. I REALLY want to re-create this, which a couple of adjustments of course. Could you please keep us posted on how it performs?

I currently play B/G normal golgari counters, but I'd like to try this zombie deck out. I use Varolz in my deck, but for this one I wouldn't. No need to scavenge, when I can just have tons of zombies pouring out to give the door a ton of counter to pump them all.For me, I would take out Varolz to make Dreg Mangler 4x and add another Gray Merchant, then take out both Primeval Bounties to add a Bow mainboard and add another Door. I'd also pick and choose with the removal, make some 3x or 4x, and change Putrefy for Heroes Downfall. It also depends on your budget, though.
