3-1 FNM: Lost to Mardu... again. —Feb. 17, 2017

The Matches

• 0-2 against Mardu Vehicles: Game one he simply steamrolled me. Game 2 I oversided in removal, and got alight on creatures. I was able to get him very low, but a misplay cost me the game: he was able to sacrifice his two artifact blockers through his Pia Nalaar, negating my two lifelinkers. Gifted Aetherborn was very good here, but I think I'd need more removal.

• 2-0 against a UR brew. He was trying to Indomitable Creativity his way into Ulamogs. Next.

• 2-1 against BR Zombies. I lost the first game to a well-timed Fiery Temper, after having to chump block a little. Game 2 and 3 I won simply because of the very long time it takes for that deck to set itself up... and drawing 3 Gifted Aetherborn at the start of the game 3.

• 2-1 against BW Planeswalker Midrange. Game one was a long, drawn out affair. I managed to handle his 'walkers, thanks to my Deathtouch creatures and an Anguised Unmaking I stole from him. I managed to make a Gearhulk a 12/12 trampler, which forced him to trade his board for mine. Game 2, Heart of Kiran into Liliana of the Veil is very painful, especially after you remove your Fatal Push. They came back game 3. Last game, the winner was Tireless Tracker, netting me enough clues to win through a Fumigate.

The Lessons

I need more removal, so the 4th Grasp of Darkness is coming main deck. Also, Tireless Tracker is a boss, while Sylvan Advocate is too slow for a meta full of 2/3 and 3/2, so I'm replacing one for one.
