First at Commander FNM —July 10, 2015
Today my LGS had its second Commander FNM in which I scored 10 out of a possible 12 points in 5 player Star pods. Taking first place in the event. Promo Path FTW.
Game one we had mono blue control, zurgo aggro, Edric good stuff, and Vishkal blood arbiter. I kept a solid combo hand with some good lands ramping turn 2 playing Phyrexian Alter on turn 3 and after riding a Tempt with Discovery into a turn 4 Mana Echoes (Countered) and my commander. I draw into clamp on turn 5 and play it out and draw Eternal Witness on turn 6 playing it out and sniping the win from the edric. player.
Game two I'm against Erebos control, Yeva beat down(opponent), Animar Affinity(opponent), and the vishkal deck again.This game was much more drawn out as I kept a hard ramp hand hoping to draw into some effective aggro creatures. I ramped hard into the early game and denied yeva all of her acceleration I could using marath to kill Lotus Cobra and Birds of Paradise early in the game animar gets off his Ancestral Statue combo killing the vishkal player around turn 6. Turn 7 I hard cast Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre destroying the massive animar and continued developing my board state with my dorks and beating down yeva. Turn 8 I tutor out and play Craterhoof Behemoth as well as ulting my Garruk Wildspeaker to plow over animar and settling with the erebos player to draw with me as I already got my path to exile in game one and didnt need the second one too terribly.
All in all not a highly competetive turn out and not the best game type to judge the competitive level of the list but I was definitely operating a above average power level list at this event.

Very nice build, but have you thought about Academy Rector or Earthcraft even Ivy Lane Denizen can be helpful. +1
I have my own marath edh you should check it out

@ Samji I've actually played all of these cards in here in a previous marath combo oriented build and found that deck to be slower and not as powerful when it isnt comboing out. Ivys a card I see in tons of ghave and marath lists but its power level in my opinion isn't all that great I'd rather just recast my commander if and when counters are depleted. I'll deffinitely give your list a look-see

Thanks for the suggestions, Vexton! I added a couple cards that you mentioned, cut a few that had already been on the block. I Will have to choose a couple 6 drop critters for Birthing Pod!
