with 4x Elvish Mystic and 4x Sylvan Caryatid i'm comfortable with where I am on lands. And I like the scooze, just not mainboard at this time. I'll decide after more playtesting. Thanks for the comment!

Putrefy you are absolutely right, If I want to have the essence of rock, I need to play thoughtseize in the mainboard. I have moved them from the SB into the MB, thanks for the comment!

Have you considered Treasured Find helps you grab the finisher you need or the removal you need in a certain situation.

Thanks for the vote! And I have not considered that card though, it's tough to make room for it honestly. I agree it seems good but it doesn't seem worth cutting any cards to make room for.

Has all the ramp been overly useful besides Polukranos, World Eater ? I don't play any ramp in my Golgari deck, but its Control rather than Midrange. I've considered it, but have been looking for some suggestions on how useful it actually is performing in Golgari builds. I run Deathrite Shaman which can sometimes ramp, but usually lands don't pop in my graveyard often and I am not a whole fan on the dredge theme, but its sort of a subtheme in my deck just to have card advantage.

I like playing midrange creature decks. I feel like the ramp is worth it, especially the hexproof sylvan caryatid. If I was going to cut some ramp it would definitely be the mystic, and I'd probably swap it for boon satyr or another high value low drop creature.The ramp is good in that I can play Reaper of the Wilds and have mana to protect it in the same turn. I'm comfortable with the ramp, but it's personal preference honestly. :]

I'm not sure what you have the bow of nylea in the board for, since most of your creatures should be big enough to kil yor opponent's creatures unless it's just there to combo with polukranos.
I think you might get more value out of some Mistcutter Hydra
to improve your matchup against control.

Do you think you could divide the Herald of Torment into a number of other cards, making them 4-ofs? Maybe another Courser (because that card rocks, and it's a much better play on turn 2 than a Herald), another Mystic, another Demon, and maybe adding a singleton Devour Flesh to the deck to deal with Blood Barons and just another 2 mana kill spell, or bumping Thoughtseize up to 4. Also, I don't see Underworld Connections anywhere in the list, was that a conscious decision to leave it out? If so, what were your reasons?

herald of torment is a win condition in that it lets polukranos and reaper of the wilds fly over blockers. I have 3 demons and 3 polukranos to lower the mana curve. I left out underworld connections because I flat out don't like the card and this isn't exactly mono black devotion. I only have 3 coursers because drawing multiple times isn't going win me the game, and I don't play any constellation cards.

How could I play Deathrite Shaman in this? I'm not dredging lands into my graveyard, and the 2 damage or health is negligible when I can just play Scavenging Ooze .

Deathrite Shaman doesnt actually need you to be dredging to be good. It's actually still a card that can have big effect because you and your opponent are both playing cards and having cards die. It is a one casting cost creature that can potentially (but not likely in this deck) give you mana, but the main abilities are removing the opponents spells (fuck you control) and creatures (fuck you dredge) while knocking them for 2 damage or gaining you 2 life. There is a reason it was banned in the other formats. Honestly I can see @TheNinjaJesus's point. It would likely run pretty well in this deck since it would lower your curve a bit.

I can exile opponent cards with scooze and do it multiple times per turn. The elf taps when he uses his ability. Rightfully so I guess, otherwise he would be absolutely busted.

True. But Scooze isn't a one drop. And Scooze does not do damage while doing it, or gain you life, or give you mana. Scooze is good no doubt. But being good does not take anything away from Deathrite. It depends what you want to do. I think deathrite would make this current deck better if it is put in. You should also take a look at the pro tour decks. The top decks are using black and green in them so you could get some good ideas.
