The first 8 player tourney for this deck are in! 2-1 with solid performance!
Round 1 vs UB control - 2:0 - deck was counterspell heavy and the first game was a slog, but I waited to for him to tap out for a wincon, after which was able to do enough damage in one turn. Game 2 was no different, we barely finished in the allotted time!
Round 2 vs 5 color Tron - 2:1 - Game 1 I won off the back of doing some consistent delver damage. Game 2 I lost when tron was assembled early and he buried me in card advantage. Game 3 was the best game this deck had - a turn 4 win! T1 Delver, into t2 delver (first one didn't flip) into brainstorm. Kept a spell on top and attacked for six and played a turn 3 Erratic Explosion into a 5 mana spell for a total of 11 damage on turn 3. Turn 4 was no different - upkeep brainstorm ensured I would draw a Thunderous Wrath for 5 more damage.
Round vs Affinity - 0:2 - he came out of the gates very fast both games and I was not able to keep up. Both games I died to Atog + Fling, which seems to difficult for this deck.

Does anyone play Book Burning in Pauper? I have only dabbled in the format but I used to run this card back in the day and loved it.

Chasmolinker, Book Burning is cool, but most times it is a worse Tome Scour in a color that does not even have Tome Scour; and it certainly does not do much in this deck, but glad you like it!

Fair point. I saw the artwork for erratic explosion and for some reason Book Burning popped in my head.

Any reason you're running Fireblast over Shard Volley? I know Fireblast hits for 4 but is the extra point of damage worth pitching two mountains?

Chasmolinker - There is a reason, and it is that fireblast hits for 6 off Erratic Explosion and Riddle of Lightning, compared to the Volley, which hits for one off of them. For that reason, I do not run Lightning Bolt, but Staggershock instead.

Have you considered Gush. Super powerful and has a relatively high CMC.
Also, why the one-off Firebolt? It's a good card, no doubt, but seems a bit out of place. Maybe swap for Magma Jet instead? Same Shock-effect, but helps Scry on top of that.
