It's nice to see Kamigawa again! —Feb. 28, 2022

It's been quite some time since I've done an update and there was some new goodies that I picked up.

The nonland updates:

Surrak, the Hunt Caller ----> Elvish Mystic

Arashin Sovereign ----> Ao, the Dawn Sky

Wandering Troubadour ----> Kura, the Boundless Sky

Grand Master of Flowers ----> Sylvia Brightspear

The ramp package from the past few updates has helped this deck play more consistently so I added Elvish Mystic, Surrak, the Hunt Caller was nice but I'd rather have more ramp. Grand Master of Flowers didn't play nearly as well as I would have liked, so he's out. I'm surprised how long I slept on Sylvia Brightspear. Three mana to give all my dragons "double strike"? Yes, please! Ao, the Dawn Sky and Kura, the Boundless Sky are strictly better than both Arashin Sovereign and Wandering Troubadour, although I really do like the "venture into the dungeon" mechanic. Luckily, I still have Nadaar, Selfless Paladin for that. :)

The Land updates:

Out: Grasslands, Krosan Verge, Fortified Village, Blighted Woodland, Temple of Plenty, Gavony Township

In: Boseiju, Who Endures, Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire, Arid Mesa, Marsh Flats, Misty Rainforest, Verdant Catacombs

I don't have much to say about the land updates other than: "better lands are better". I'm excited to see how Boseiju, Who Endures and Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire do. Having removal attached to lands will be nice in the late game when I don't necessarily need my land drops and I have plenty of legendary creatures to discount those abilities too!
