Modern* Combo Competitive Counters Mono-Black Tokens

This variant of my Black Plague deck abuses Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs to set off hilarious combos in which a lot of things die and tokens come flying out of nowhere. Combined with Bastion of Remembrance, you should be draining so much life that your opponent will die before they even get the chance to rage quit.

Card suggestions are welcome.

How to Use

Step 1: Discard

Attack the opponent's hand with Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek. Remove anything useful that they might have and slow down their game plan.

Step 2: Build the Engine

Play Blowfly Infestation, Nest of Scarabs, and Bastion of Remembrance, using whatever else you have to buy time for your combo to set up.

Step 3: Detonate the Combo

Make a creature die while it has a -1/-1 counter on it. You can do this with Baleful Ammit, by attacking or blocking with Dusk Urchins while it's at 1 toughness, by sacrificing Fume Spitter, or by using Collective Brutality or Fatal Push on a creature that already has a -1/-1 counter on it. Remember that when you put a -1/-1 counter on something, Nest of Scarabs will give you a 1/1 insect token. Make sure this token is still around when the creature with the -1/-1 counter on it hits the graveyard, as you're going to need it.

The combo works as follows.

A creature with a -1/-1 counter on it dies, triggering Blowfly Infestation. Put the -1/-1 counter on the token created with Nest of Scarabs. Also, because a creature you control died, Bastion of Remembrance causes each opponent to lose 1 life and causes you to gain 1 life.

Because you just put a -1/-1 counter on something, Nest of Scarabs gives you another 1/1 insect token. Also, because your last insect token promptly dies due to the -1/-1 counter you just put on it, the process starts all over again, and repeats until there are either no valid targets for you to put a -1/-1 counter on or you put the -1/-1 counter on something that doesn't immediately die as a result.

Because the combo always produces another 1/1 insect token that you can target (and kill), Bastion of Remembrance can be triggered infinite times, causing your opponents to lose infinite life while you gain infinite life. You then win the game, even against those elf and merfolk decks that give themselves 3 billion life while pretending that what they're doing is perfectly fair and balanced. We, on the other hand, know that what we're doing is neither fair nor balanced. That's why we do it.
