FNM RESULTS (11/13/15) —Nov. 14, 2015

So I keep getting my ass handed to in mirror matches lol, and went up against 2 this time around, bad luck but oh well! Here are the results:

MATCH 1: I lost 0-2 against Red Esper, I always have 1 game at every FNM where my draws are absolutely worthless, and the first game was it this time around. FIrst game I drew all the counters but no threats to follow up, and second game I drew all the threats and no counters to back it up hehe. This Esper player splashed red for Crackling Doom, and Kolaghan's Command. While Crackling Doom is obviously a monster card, I am very impressed on the utility the Command offers.

MATCH 2: I won 2-1 against Dark Jeskai. First game he just outraced me and overrun the board with Dragonspeaker Shaman. Second game I was able to stick an early Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and due to some bad draws my opponent was unable to deal with the fast clock, and I sealed the deal with a Silumgar, the Drifting Death. Game 3 was fairly intense, a complete counter war; the game ended up going to time but I was able to stick all 3 of my dragons and eventually swing for lethal on the final 5th turn.

MATCH 3: I lost 0-2 against Green Esper. This guy splashed green for Abzan Charm, and I believe he also runs Siege Rhino in the SB, which is a card I have been trying to include for a while. The first game he just outplayed me, I have gone up against this guy 3 times now and he is one smart cookie. The second game was actually pretty fun, even though I lost. He almost decked himself, but was able to seal the deal with Sorin, Solemn Visitor, a card I have been wanting to include again. Overall this guy ran way more counters than me and hand disruption via Transgress the Mind, which is something I should have in this deck.

MATCH 4: I won 2-0 against Blue Abzan. This was an odd midrange Abzan deck splashing blue for Anticipate, Dig Through Time, and a few counters. This was by far the esiest match up of the night. First game I took through aggro with Dragonlord Ojutai & Dragonlord Dromoka. The second game I honestly don't think he resolved a single spell as I always had a counter in hand the entire game.

FINAL RESULT: 2-2.

This deck definitely has potential. I have beaten every deck out there, aside from Esper (and I guess mill decks since I haven't seen one in the shop). Aristocrats and Dark Jeskai are tough matchups but definitely beatable. Need to make some fixes and fine tune it. Could use some suggestions, thanks!
