This idea behind this budget deck is to play a bunch of cheap deathtouch creatures, and then drop the combination of Knighthood and Brave the Sands . At that point, you just attack with everyone every turn. If your opponent blocks, all their creatures die (because of deathtouch) and all your creatures live (because of first strike). Moreover, your opponent can't hold back and attack in response, since all of your creatures will still be up to block (because of vigilance). Unless your opponent has a ton of removal or first strike creatures of their own, there's nothing they can do. Read the Bones helps you dig for your enchantments, Duress gets rid of board wipes, and Vampire Nighthawk gives you some lifelink for when the game goes long.

Note: you can make this deck modern legal by substituting Archetype of Courage for Knighthood , but this will take you a bit over the $5 budget.
