Pauper Tournanemt at My Local Shop

My local shop has decided to run a pauper tournament but the catch is, its pauper standard.

I've checked a few of the recomended sites but they are all for modern or older pauper.

Would just like to start a discussion on what decks people might think will work. Ive been thinking things like:

RDW - A lot of simple burn spellsare common, like Shock or Lightning Strike

R/G ramp - Elvish Mystic , Voyaging Satyr , Satyr Hedonist can all ramp into things like Vulpine Goliath and Ruination Wurm

U/R - Simple burns and counters plus Nivix Cyclops and Frostburn Weird ?

Slivers - Obviously missing the big hitters but the basics are stil there, Striking Sliver , Blur Sliver , predator sliver

Pauper is commons only, or commons and uncommons?

U/W control could be pretty good, could even go with a third color since all of the gates are common...

U/W gives you stuff to shut down your opponent's dudes like Pacifism and Sensory Deprivation while giving you good flyers including Wingsteed Rider

or just an overwhelming amount of flyers

or imagine starting with Hopeful Eidolon , then next turn putting 2 Ethereal Armor on to make it a 7/7 first strike lifelink

then an Aqueous Form to make it a 9/9 unblockable lifelink on T3....

I've seen some great heroic aggro gruul pauper decks featuring Staunch-Hearted Warrior , Akroan Crusader , Giant Growth , Titan's Strength , and the likes.

I vote for Bant Auras with Gladecover Scout , Rubbleback Rhino , Hopeful Eidolon , Ethereal Armor , Way of the Thief , and Aqueous Form .

Then again, I don't play Standard Pauper lol.
