Any Idea on Helvault?

I'm looking at the spoiler for Helvault, but i just can't find a way to use it. It's beginning to look like pure junk to me, and I really hope it's not the case. So does anyone have an idea on how to use it effectively?

Well you could use it for early game blink like effects if you run some artifact removal and late game repeatable removal. As for combos... Im not really sure yet.

I was really hoping that the Mirari . :(

Late game, when you have a large mana base, it can (slowly) wipe your opponent's board. Maybe combine it with Worldslayer or other "destroy everything" cards and save a bunch of creatures in it?

it has a million uses really. hide away your stuff, use it to avoid death of creatures, the Worldslayer thing is cool, get rid of Abyssal Persecutor when you are ready to win, on the second death toss your undying creatures in there to get 4 uses out of each.

This card is not great, but it is playable in casual

Seems too vulnerable and costly for use in constructed, even in EDH. As squire1 said, probably a casual card.

The only use I see with this card off the bat, is the ability to "save" your creatures. If some one slaps out a Doom Blade , Go for the Throat , etc on one of your creatures, or even some board wipe like card:Black Sun's Zenith or Day of Judgment , you can save creatures with Helvault's first ability, then later in the game "pop" it with some artifact destruction.

The right Elf Ramp deck could use it effectively in the mid game to get rid of large threats. Effective, but not efficient =(.

The ability to save your own guys from death is pretty nice.

Also any deck that wants to try to run Archdemon of Greed might be well served to have it on the board, just in case.

underwhelming, not unlike most of the other mythics in the set...

Falkenrath Aristocrat is amazing, and the blue/black mythic is anything but underwhelming

Falkenrath Aristocrat doesn't even compare to Hellrider, and it definitely isn't amazing. It's nice but it should be a rare, not a mythic. I guess someone really intent on playing aggro-vampires would use it but there are two better four-drops in red, one of which is in the same set.

As for Helvault, why bother with it? It's lousy for wrath-proofing since it only saves one at a time and for fighting through spot removal it's better to just have more threats in your deck. In EDH it's best use is probably as a colorless source of repeatable yet costly removal. Just make sure that you can bounce it at instant speed to make your opponents creatures go poof for good.
