Just sort of my nod to this card as a whole. It has only even been a thing for a short period of time, and it has already won me 2 different, seeming unwinnable games. Sitting in what is essentially a boardlock state, with stuff like Solitary Confinement, Karmic Justice, Ghostly Prison, and Sphere of Safety just being all unfun and stuff, Wave reset the board of artifacts, enchantments, and nonbasic lands through sacrifice, so it doesn't trigger Karmic Justice and avoids stuff like Greater Auramancy and even indestructable effects. Being able to search for a basic land to replace any destroyed nonbasics makes it less of a mass land destruction type spell, so it is perfectly viable in more casual games, but builds that find themselves all but void of basic lands will be at a huge loss. I'm really starting to believe that this card alone could spark a change in EDH thinking that encourages using more basics over nonbasics, at least to some extent.
Personally, I was playing online in a game marked "CASUAL", 2 separate times, which both ended up being filled by enchantment decks whos soul purpose was to freeze the game. Which to me sort of eliminates the idea behind casual. They were both 3 person games and the 3rd person was both times a respectable casual deck. I can understand a control deck, I can understand a mill deck, I can understand running a lot of board wipes, but completely board locking in a casual game is a little unnecessary, and pretty unfun if you ask me. Anyways, both these guys were sitting comfortably behind their walls of enchantments waiting for us to just rage quit, but Wave of Vitriol flipped the tables, making them quit out after reading the card, without a word of dispute.
Really I just haven't seen this card get much attention so far, and I really think it deserves another look to you Mono Green, Gruul, Jund, Naya, Temur, and Simic players out there. It's a creature decks best friend.
ThisIsBullshit your right. Wave is just a little more all encompassing. Aside from leaving out Walkers and creatures, which really just leaves the door open for you to be the only guy left with anything going on. Plus it was in my Temur deck so obvious no Eviction.

There was one game where I thought I would get wrecked right after Wave of Vitriol was played by my opponent and I lost all of my nice artifacts, my Steel Hellkite, my Wurmcoil Engine, my Scuttling Doom Engine, my Bosh, Iron Golem you get the idea. :(
Fortunetly I had Scrap Mastery in hand :)

Here's another thing: let's say an opponent has an indestructible artifact or enchantment on the field. Wave of Vitriol makes them get rid of it themselves lol.

You just have to hope that they're not playing Sigarda, Host of Herons lol

I'm just happy because you shut those meanies down lol. Merciless Eviction also works well for that sort of thing.
