Cleaning up the Deck —Feb. 22, 2019
This is just a brief update cleaning up a few things about the decklist. I missed a couple important cards in the first draft, and allowed a couple kind of mediocre cards to make it into the list.
+Thief of Sanity: After seeing this card do some pretty nutty things in standard, I resolved to find a home for it. I'm not sure this is the best home, but it can do some fairly nutty things, creating a minigame where opponents have to stop it from connecting and generating value turn after turn.
+Song of the Dryads: This is one of the best answers to problematic permanents, locking them down as a permanent type that is often hard for them to deal with. I have already been justified in including this after it just completely took my friend's voltron deck out of the game for several turns.
+Fauna Shaman: One of the best tutors available, this gets you reanimation targets into the graveyard, finds you value/removal creatures, and does so much more.
-Nevermaker: This card is really sketchy. It can do some interesting things, but most of the time it sits on the board unable to be sacrificed or simply takes care of a threat momentarily. Song of the Dryads is a much cleaner and long-lasting answer to problematic permanents.
-Archfiend of Despair: I like this card, I really do. However, 8 mana is a lot to pay, and while the effect can be game winning, it generally needs some other piece to actually close out the game. I was also getting a lot of clunky hands with reanimation targets sitting around doing nothing for a while. It was probably the worst reanimation target in the deck, so I'm cutting it to help speed up draws slightly. Plus, I think Thief of Sanity could just be a better way to win the game overall.
-Codex Shredder: I really hate seeing this card go. It did a lot for the deck, getting tutored up by Trinket Mage to fill the graveyard or recur something important. I'm still not sure if cutting it is the right call, but currently I like Crop Sigil and Perpetual Timepiece over it as my persistent graveyard filler pieces of choice.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm not completely sold on Bear Umbra , but I see its merits for the deck. I'm a bit worried that it would end up not working when I need it to. I want all my acceleration slots to be able to power out Muldrotha early, but it's more of a way to let you capitalize off of having her in play. I definitely like being able to protect an important card while generating mana, but it might not be for this deck.
I agree with you on Song of the Dryads and Imprisoned in the Moon . They're some of the best answers to pretty much anything, and if removed can be replayed from our graveyard over and over again. I'll definitely be looking for slots for them in the near future.
I agree that Mikaeus, the Unhallowed can do incredibly nutty things in the deck, abusing creatures with etb effects while simultaneously protecting your board. Unfortunately, he's a bit out of my budget atm, but if I ever manage to get my hands on one he'll find his way into the deck, probably replacing one of the weaker reanimation targets.

Muldrotha is mana hungry, consider Bear Umbra for double your mana + totem armor.
This one is kinda meta dependent but if your meta plays a lot of decks that rely heavily on their commander you should get Imprisoned in the Moon and Song of the Dryads in the deck. Really efficient, really versatile, and against the right target... really oppressive.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is also really good here and gives access to a load of combos (some already in the deck like infinite mill with Glen Elendra and Altar of Dementia).
Very similar build to mine, a bit powered down, but definitely more budget friendly. Feel free to check out my list for ideas. Feedback, Upvotes, and/or Ideas on any of my decklists is appreciated. Muldrotha's Madhouse - No Infinite
