Soldiers a long standing tribe who used to have a lot of cool synergys. However, as time progressed and the average card power level increased, most of those cards were left behimd, unable to keep up with todays power level. The deck focuses on creating theoretical mana and card advantage. Other than one drops, most cards in the deck attempt to provide some of these. Looking to possibly replace the Mosquito Guard s and/or Soldier of the Pantheon with some other aggro one drop if anyone has suggestions. Recon allows for 'vigilance', and the ability to deal first strike/double strike damage and be removed from combat before opponents deal regular damage back. Basically it was broken to not work the way it was supposed to when it came out by the 2010 rules changes. But it became super awesome because of it, soooo... Im not going to complain, Im going to use it. Its all about abusing the stack with Reconnaissance for maximum effect. Great card, and the reason for all the first strike in the deck, because first strike and recon are just too cool. All the attacks, all the damage, all the blockers available, all the goodness. Kinda wish I had some sort of blanket tap effect to take extra advantage of it really, but everything Ive found seems rather slow or lack-luster.
