This is a deck that is built on speed and overwhelming your opponent early game. Back in the early 2000’s everyone had a form of this deck. Get as much land in play so power creatures can come out earlier than your opponents power creatures. On a good day you can generate 6 mana after your third turn to bring the number of elves up. Then use the Ambush Commander and Timberwatch Elfs to overwhelm enemy defenses and start draining your opponents life.
Let’s be honest, this is a very basic deck that was only played in friendly games. It never saw tournament play and is very one dimensional. A player can easily counter this by simply outlasting the early and mid game when this deck doesn’t have much more to offer then what’s already on the table. For a beginner the deck is simple and straight forward but to make this deck into a tournament contender that can actually win a match or two would be awesome. I would like to diversify the mana and card types to keep opponents off balance but not sure where I can go without over complicating the deck or drastically reducing the speed during early game.
