One of the most under-estimated cards for tempo and control for a 2drop white is Soul Tithe . Its usually targets well on planeswalkers and gods, as the Banisher Priest and Renounce the Guilds will remove the other threatening creatures. Spear of Heliod is excellent against ghost council and other pesky creatures. While Ajani usually hands out +1s to the Fiendslayer Paladin , by the time Heliod, God of the Sun hits the board he's almost always a creature, and the -3 flying/double strike is a nice wallop if the sky's clear.
