Discarding Bobo and ETI —March 4, 2014
i needed a way to discard Borborygmos Enraged and Enter the Infinite if i drew them during my draw step, as that is a dead draw. so, the changes are as follows:
OUT: 3x Dissolve not really sure if we need countermagic in this deck at all, will test
4x Manaweft Sliver we have nothing to really ramp into so we only need 8 manadorks
IN: 4x Izzet Charm a way to discard Bobo or ETI if we naturally draw them
3x Bow of Nylea a way to recycle the discarded cards back into the deck. the lifegain is relevant to
quaker171 thanks for pointing that out, but i dont want to include anymore sorceries to increase my chances of hitting an ETI. ill just fill those 3 slots with something else.

You might be able to plug those spaces with more ramp a la Voyaging Satyr or some scry-power with Magma Jet , or maybe some Simic Charm or more counterspells to protect the combo.

quaker171 i was thinking like Wall of Frost to make us less weak to aggro but Magma Jet sounds really good as well

I could see Wall of Frost being really effective against aggro, moreso than Magma Jet, with some Hover Barrier in the sideboard to trade out against flying things like Nightveil Specter or Chandra's Phoenix . I guess it hinges on whether or not scry is useful enough to make a major difference in this build. If you can get Possibility Storm out, then all that matters is getting the right card type, not the right card. Whichever you think would be more effective should be the one you include- the pilot strategy matters more than the deck strategy.

Mercurial Chemister can only hit creatures, if you're going for a massive discard blast, you might prefer Blast of Genius
