At first, it merely looks to your opponent like you're piloting some goofy bear tribal build. Balduvian Bears, Grizzly Bears, Werebear, Ashcoat Bear... it lulls him into a false sense of security.

Then comes Altar of Dementia, likely confusing the foe. What is that hoping to accomplish?

Verdant Succession, then, is the signal of doom. Each dead bear means you immediately get a replacement directly into play - basically you can sacrifice each of your bears four times in a row. But milling your opponent 8 cards for each unique creature you control probably still won't run him out of cards... which is where Caller of the Claw swoops in to finish him off. Sacrifice all four Callers in a row, get a boatload of bear tokens for each bear cashed in earlier that turn, then sacrifice all of them to mill your foe out. Who knew that bears were the missing ingredient from a good mill deck?
