The week after Modern Masters 2015 released, there was a tournament at my LGS with two boxes of MM2 on the line. I entered and 1-3'd. The win was that first match; I beat a Mono-Black 8rack deck.

Good idea;
I have a couple suggestions that may provide some extra deck oomph even though they may not be Innistrad themed I do agree that focusing the deck would greatly increase your win potential
And I also agree that Athreos, God of Passage makes so much more sense than Geist of Saint Traft ever will in this type of deck (much cheaper too).
Maybe consider some other removal spells that don't require morbid to trigger in order to become strong
