Ramp Up —Feb. 10, 2021

Took out Battle Hymn, Vessel of Volatility, and two of the less useful spirits for some more reliable ramp to hopefully smooth out the early game a bit more.

Awesome deck! I have come to love unique red decks and this definitely is a cool one! The only thing I ran into while goldfishing the deck was that it seems a bit slow from a shortage of mana ramp. Do you find that this is the case in your meta?

adam1floyd3 Glad you liked the deck! I haven't had a chance to actually play the deck with a full pod yet (Covid and all that), but yes, it is a bit slow. The deck, as it is right now, has a little budget room for ramp. My goal was to keep it below $100 for the average cost, so I immediately start by cutting out the auto-includes like Sol Ring and Boots/Greaves, but I may go back in and add Sol Ring. If you have any other suggestions on cheap ramp, would love to hear them.

Also, if you want to see my other budget deck, it's also a nostalgia build for me: Bounteous Budget Spirits

FrogBoy95 I suppose it kinda depends on how budget you want to keep it. I like things like Wayfarer's Bauble , Solemn Simulacrum , and Burnished Hart to try and get extra basics out since those are pretty much always safe. Thought Vessel is another newer favorite since it's recent reprint dropped it's price dramatically. Beyond that, things like Prismatic Lens , Mind Stone , and Everflowing Chalice can be great 2 mana rocks that work pretty well in mono colored decks. Hopefully that helps!
