Tannuk, Steadfast Second
Legendary Creature — Kavu Pilot
Other creatures you control have haste.
Artifact cards and red creature cards in your hand have warp . (You may cast a card from your hand for its warp cost. Exile that permanent at the beginning of the next end step, then you may cast it from exile on a later turn.)

NV_1980 thanks for the upvote and the suggestions! My playstyle is more reactive than proactive, so I chose a strategy that can function without the raw aggressiveness of goblins. Instead, the focus is on deterrence and interaction with the opponent, which is why I favor creatures like Anax, Hardened in the Forge. While it has less potential impact, its ability is triggered, it functions as protection as well, and it doesn’t need haste to be fully maximized.
As for Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Tannuk, Steadfast Second, they would indeed fit the deck perfectly — the cost-to-impact ratio is excellent. I’ll keep testing it in different scenarios to see how I can find space to include them. I also checked your deck, and the changes you’ve been making gave me some solid ideas for improvement.
Merry Christmas, and enjoy your holidays as well, if that’s the case!”

This looks pretty good!
I've enjoyed playing Purphoros quite a bit in combination with Goblins, since they are so easy to get onto the table for free when one plays mono-red, which leads to lots of damage coming from our favorite deity to hit all our opponents. Here's my take on him, in case you're interested.
Some of my favorite cards:
- Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker: copy a creature by tapping him; powerful for several reasons but with this commander it becomes even more nasty.
- Krenko, Mob Boss: if he's allowed to survive for a few turns when combined with Purph, the amount of damage being pumped out will quickly become insane (especially when you already had other goblins on the field.
- Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer: so much fun when deployed early or when one's opponents doesn't have a defense up. Especially when cast for his dash-cost combined with Purph. Mana- and card-advantage galore! Not cheap to obtain of course, but definitely worth it.
- Tannuk, Steadfast Second: giving each of your red creatures warp allows them to ETB twice, which becomes fairly damaging to one's opponents when Purph is on the field.
Have fun with the build, merry christmas and hopefully happy holidays!
