I won my last EDH game with mono blue initiative. My commander was Imoen, Mystic Trickster with the background Dungeon Delver. One of my opponents had an Ally deck with a transformed Avatar Aang Flip and was definitely going to win on his next turn. But then on my (probably last) end step my deck went off. I had both commanders out and had completed a dungeon earlier. Thanks to Tomb of Horrors Adventurer I had 3 copies of Panharmonicon, a Virtue of Knowledge as well as Conjurer's Closet. On end step, I blinked my Tomb of Horrors Adventurer. On ETB, I completed the Undercity (room Throne of the Dead Three), revealing a Starfield Vocalist and then an Astral Dragon (room triggered twice because of commander + background). By my math, this gave me 12 3/3 Dragon token copies. I chose to copy Sarevok's Tome for each of them. Each token took the initiative 6 times, allowing me to complete Undercity 16 more times and draining the table for a total of 160 life (room Trap!).

Wow, haven't seen one of these in a while. Some fun ally-ideas:
- Agadeem Occultist: take what is theirs, give nothing back!
- Chasm Guide: hastens your allies upon new allies entering the field; very useful.
- Drana, Liberator of Malakir: make sure she connects, and watch your allied strength grow.
- Kazuul Warlord: blink one's allies to make them stronger.
- Kor Bladewhirl: never underestimate the ability to strike first.
- Makindi Patrol: your allies can attack and defend during the same round of turns.
- Mirror Entity: a way to increase your allies' base power/toughness.
Other fun stuff includes:
- Clone Legion: copy all your allies. That's a lot of triggers!
- Brago, King Eternal: ensure he can attack with impunity and watch those triggers rain down.
- Starfield Vocalist: a Panharmonicon in creature-form.
