I really like cards like Abyssal Persecutor One with Nothing and Death's Shadow. Going back to alpha the most powerful card ever printed can arguably be Contract from Below. I think these perfectly encapsulate how I view black in mtg, so I love hellbent as a mechanic.
Glaze for black aside make another black card that gets more powerful as you get weaker in some way (you may use hellbent or the above cards for inspiration)

NonetheWeisser a deck of this caliber has been on my build-it-board for more than a few years. All the commentary from users saying "but what will combo with One with Nothing?" for all the users who countered with "that card could NEVER be useful!" and to all the duelists who remain over-sodium'd and salt-crusted, gasping in horror at the deck before them. Let them cower. Let them cry. It's wolf and shark time.

Balaam__ sweet nothings will get you everywhere- that comment made me beam with pride. I'm unlikely to let you down anytime soon.
This deck is something I'm just as much upset and baffled by as I am thrilled to have play-tested. The deck is nuts, and I have no scale for it. It exists in a class all it's own because I've honestly never seen a list that could remotely make One with Nothing do something relevant, let alone be the focal point of a combo.

My input for your first tier is One with Nothing. Historically, many players tried to find a use for this card but nothing really significant came out of it.
For your worst of the worst I nominate Wood Elemental and Sorrow's Path. Seriously, I think even the most casual of players wouldn't dare touch these cards.

One with Nothing I see it in your maybe board. If you want to run it for flavor I respect that but what immediately comes to mind in a mono colored graveyard strategy is... Null Brooch. Sure it's more than 1 mana but it's a repeatable Negate in mono black.
Dark Deal is a black Windfall. Another Ill-Gotten Gains type effect.
