Emberheart Challenger

Creature — Mouse Warrior

Haste

Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)

Valiant — Whenever this becomes the target of a spell or ability you control for the first time each turn, exile the top card of your library. Until end of turn, you may play that card.

THe idea of the Mice deck is meant to be a fast aggressive deck idea. I think you can achieve this by trimming some of the slower cards like Brambleguard Captain, Driftgloom Coyote, and Mouse Trapper and switch these out for more copies of your faster creatures like more copies of Flowerfoot Swordmaster, Manifold Mouse, and Seedglaive Mentor. You also might want to add Emberheart Challenger to the deck as it serves as a fast aggressive creature that also give pseudo card draw. If you want a good support creature then you may want to consider Valley Questcaller as a static bonus to your creatures and gives you scry option to setup top of the deck.

Other cards you will likely want to cut would be Starforged Sword as it is overcosted and generally a bad card. Would also trim out the Patchwork Banner and Short Bow as these are slow effects that don't perform as well as using something like Feather of Flight that gives some evasion to your attackers and gives you a card draw to continue drawing into more action. I also would reccomend trimming the board wipe Starfall Invocation as this type of board wipe is not likely to get your back into a game too often.

For the mana base you could try adding some copies of the Rockface Village to help trigger your cards and maybe even give haste to late game plays. Also Fabled Passage is a land option that could help fix your land draws.

Tried to keep all suggestions to the set. Hope they come in handy.

zapyourtumor, Thanks so much for checking out the deck list and for the advice! I have been agonizing over the deck list. The Authority of the Consuls became an include for me due to the presence of all the other Hasty Prowess decks I have been going up against on Arena, It also downplays the effectivness of all the Warp creatures in EOE, I.E. Nova Hellkite, or dare I say Ball Lightning. I am trying to combine the burn spells with the Prowess creatures, Slickshot Show-Off and Emberheart Challenger (although I am not using the mouse's second ability The Valiant part) to make big life swings, they lose, I gain. So the authority helps me have a solid first turn play that will slow down the other haste decks and allow me to edge out the other burn decks with lifegain, or it can trigger prowess as well on a later turn. I have tried using the Lightstall Inquisitor as well, but feel like it has a better home in a self bounce deck where you can use it over and over to diminish their hand. I like the idea of Cosmogrand Zenith, she could help me create a bigger board presence and keep up the pressure when I run out of Burn spells. I was just thinking about adding Opera Love Song back in to help with card draw, and as it turns out, that would trigger prowess and or Valiant in some cases, so maybe that would be a good thing to help with consistency?

I've played a lot of UB spirits even back in the day of Rakdos MDR and KarnDevotion. I believe that we've received a few quality of life support in the most recent sets.

Enduring Curiosity yes it is a four drop but you're a tempo-agro deck and this card even if it dies comes back as an enchantment. I'd recommend just running two in the main. Refills your hand and allows you to press the advantage that you worked so hard to gain.

No More Lies is better than Lofty Denial in my experience. It doesn't require you spending all your resources protecting your early drops just so you can send a card they wanted into the graveyard anyway. Sure it might seem better on game two, but adding in three RIPs against decks in the format that can consistently get graveyard use in the early game. 4 No More Lies in game 1 and adding in the RIPS afterward give you a better chance.

Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel helps a lot is a 2/1 flash flying and has helped me draw many cards after enduring curiosity is down. I atmost recommend one of (it is not a spirit but it sure does come in clutch)

Sheltered by Ghosts gives +1/+0 ward 2 and lifelink also exiles a nonland permanent with no CMC restrictions.

I also have been experimenting with Seam Rip it's nice to be able to at least lock up the following

Cori-Steel Cutter Fear of Missing Out Artist's Talent Blade of the Oni Emberheart Challenger Heartfire Hero Manifold Mouse

to name a few that it has helped me out against.

Cards that I think that can be cut out or eventually phased out

Lofty Denial we just lack worthwhile early game spirits with enough protection to have the flying clause to be fulfilled. Sure it can stop a turn 2 play, but they could just pass and wait to kill your next creature.

Curious Obsession I used to love this card but at most I might leave it as a 1-2 of split with enduring curiosity. It provides no protection and the +1/+1 and forcing you to attack just makes some awkward situations. I got curious obsession I need to attack with at least a creature
