So, I'm a huge fan of MTGTOP8's monthly rogue decks for all the major formats just to see what oddball things showed up in the last month.

Typically most of the decks have made sense and some of them have been pretty sweet ideas. I never did much questioning of the decks...

Until I saw this...

I get how it's supposed to work, but I absolutely question if it would. I think it's hilarious. Probably actually pretty effective in an aggro based meta if you have Guile in play.

I just thought it was a very oddball deck. Thought it'd be fun to share and discuss.

I've been toying around with that list and have come up with The Spoiled Blue Mage.

I found the Chariot and Guile to be cool but cute, and removed them in an attempt to make the deck run more fluidly. The addition of both Academy Ruins and Miren, the Moaning Well also helped a lot.

Also been considering the white splash for Path, Verdict and sideboard deck.

It scoops to aggro, but it could probably annoy the crap out of midrange decks while not costing you much money-wise.

It's a slightly upgraded version of mono blue budget deck that was on MTGGoldfosh a while ago. Tweaked version but he did alright with the deck when he was just playing around with it.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it scoops against aggro, but it does have a tough time. It felt similar to playing against a Blood Moon with blue Tron. The game is still playable, but the odds are not in your favor.

Vedalken Shackles do more work that I expected.

No, I would say it pretty reliably scoops to aggro. Its only tools to do anything about an aggro rush before T4 are Plumeveil and a handful of counterspells. A go-wide aggro deck like Affinity, Gruul Zoo, Elves, and especially Merfolk would own that deck's soul. Burn might have a bit more trouble with it because of the counterspells, but even then a creature-heavy hand would rip it a new one. For consideration, mono- Tron is much more prepared for the aggro matchup with the likes of Chalice of the Void, Spatial Contortion, Treasure Mage, and either Solemn Simulacrum or Thought-Knot Seer, and those decks still eat it for lunch.

We playtested this for about 15 games with a few people in skype and it works pretty well. We just found out that an actual white splash for Path/Supreme Verdict. It's fun as hell though, because most people don't know what they're dealing with until it's too late.
With the current meta evolving, we figured a mainbord Bribery is a good idea.

What did you test against, EpicFreddi? Also I don't think you finished your thought on the white splash- how'd that work out?
