Day's Undoing. I love this card. What the hell is it for, though?I want to use it in my UB control deck, but have trouble justifying giving my opponent 7 cards as well.

It definitely likes Nekusar, the Mind Razer.

it is literally for drawing and replacing cards. just like it says.

every card is used for exactly what it says :|

It's for undoing your day. You know, you love your job so much, that when you get home, you think to yourself, "Man, I wish I could re-do my entire day. I just love interacting with customers!". Well, now you can! And you don't even have to wait for tomorrow!

It does nothing in Nekusar

It is not a good card in control, as control aims to limit an opponents resources. Giving your opponent 7 cards and losing your hand isn't what control wants to do. It is a better card in decks like burn where you can run your hand out quickly, then refill it on turn three/four.

@TheDevicer are you sure about that? because I think you shoul.d learn the cards please.

Matt Tabak has confirmed before that Day's Undoing does get rid of any abilities that may have triggered by the effects of the card itself.

OH.

thats interesting, actually.

I guess I learned something today. I dont take back my passive-aggressive comment, though, cuz while I know I wasntwrong, I definately couldve been more right.

You should probably know the rules before you tell people to learn cards.

When you end the turn, you exile all spells and abilities, including abilities that have triggered and are not yet on the stack.

ItchiUchiha117 is correct.

It is best used in combo decks (like storm) and decks that dump their hand very quickly.

I mean, the only reason to use day's undoing in a storm deck would be if you failed to go off the first time. And if you've failed to go off the first time, and have had time to cast Day's Undoing, you are probably very dead.

I never said it was the best option in storm. It just happens to be better in storm than control or midrange or *95% of aggro decks. So if you are going to use it, a one of in storm might be the way to go... until you need to draw a cantrip to win via storm count and you cantrip into Day's Undoing. gg.

*: Made up statistic.

But by the time this comes down in a control deck the opponent is likely the be in the position to over extend and drop 2-3 creatures at once allowing us the wipe the board and essentially 2/3 for 1 them. How is that not good?

Other option...another bad mythic

Days undoing is a shit card. In Nekusar, it does nothing. No damage. Everyone just gets the free cards. If your wanting to play a blue wheel effect type card like Timetwister, then just play Timetwister.

Because of how bad this card is, I honestly think that it really has no use. Maybe in a burn deck. But that's about it.

Didn't realize it exiles everything else on the stack. Can't play Timetwister in standard, gnarlicide.

I am talking about EDH, my bad. I didn't specify. I can see it in burn in standard, but that's it.

Well Timetwister in EDH is just better 100%. I totally agree there, gnarlicide. I can see why burn wants this, too. There are clearly better options for control to draw with Dig Through Time, Dragonlord's Prerogative, etc. some may even argue Divination as better for 2U. I didn't think of t as sucking that bad since I do most of my stuff during an opponent's turn, but I guess since control really wants to "choke" the opponents resources giving them 7 cards and passing the turn is a bit counter productive to the game plan.If it didn't end my turn I could see me doing Day's Undoing, pop Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver -10, and then passing netting myself pseudo-14 cards out of the deal, but that's off the table, so...My mission: find a place for this outside burn. Probably a self destructive mission.
