What can replace Taigam's Scheming in Standard??

With Khans leaving standard, I need something to take the place of Taigam's Scheming. I want to control next card on library, and put at least one card in graveyard. I thought Ugin's Insight might help a bit: if it fills your hand past 7 you'll discard, but not till end of turn - and it's much more expensive then Taigam (1U vs. 3UU !) / the mana cost is prohibitive. I'd even be happy to put in a cheap enchantment if that's all I could get. Taigam is so much more helpful than a Scry 5 (such as in Nissa's Revelation : too costly for 5GG).

Any ideas?

Interesting! I'll have to see how these pan out in play. What I like about Taigam's Scheming is it allows me to put a creature into graveyard, remove lands from the next five cards if I'm in late-game, and pick the next draws, especially the very next card on library.Maybe with Pieces of the Puzzle I get lucky and draw into a Reclaim, and for 2U + G, I end up with 2 cards in graveyard, 1 card on library, and 1 extra in hand.

What about Anticipate?

I know it doesn't dig as deep but it's better than nothing

Of course the top card thing only works if you have a walker... My bad if that's not your strategy

Gather the Pack is the most powerful graveyard enabler we have right now, and unlike Taigam's Scheming it can actually generate card advantage.

Traverse the Ulvenwald also plays well with Gather the Pack and serves as mana fixing early game and a Demonic Tutor for creatures as the game progresses.

Oath of Jace - seconded. Putting cards into your hard > not.

Thanks everyone; It looks like Oath of Jace + Reclaim or Gather the Pack + Reclaim is the closest I'll get to Taigam's Scheming. Terrible to have to pack 2 cards into a deck for 1 effect - but getting a card into your hand as well is nice. Oath of Jace's help will increase with a couple Planeswalkers in play; but now the deck is morphing....

You know, a deck changing is exactly what's SUPPOSED to happen at rotation.

zandl, true. I just built it 10 days ago. It's not strong enough for modern, and was set to be a nice Standard deck. Just lamenting. I'm new to MTG, so I was super excited about the potential of what I had created.

On the list of cards I though people would miss from the Khans of Tarkir block Taigam's Scheming wouldn't have been top 100.

Sometimes the thing does exactly what you want it to do for exactly how much you want to pay for it to do it. When that's the case, you're sad to see a 10 cent common leave standard...
