U/B Control - Rats inside Rats!

Need some help with a UB control deck. I want to control the game until I can overwhelm the opponent with Rats. A problem i find with the control aspect is it relies on spells like Dissolve, and Essence Scatter. So the timing has to be perfect to counter all the opponents spells. Was wondering if there was anything else i can do to insure control. I am using Bident of Thassa as a draw engine. Also the ability to make my opponents creatures attack me so i can remove them with my Typhoid Rats just in case i am not drawing those Doom Blades. Also Perilous Vault as a back up fail safe to clear the board. But i am not sure how efficient that is gonna turn out to be. The Marrow-Gnawer helps pump up my Pack Rats.
Any comments and suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm sure you've already thought about it, but maybe add discard? There are some nifty low drop black discard cards like Distress, Duress, and Despise so you can narrow down what kind of cards your opponent has in their hand. Drainpipe Vermin and Ravenous Rats also have discard effects and are rats :P
