Thoughts on Archangel Avacyn?

So ive been thinking about making a boros commander again and was wondering whats everyones opinion on her?I think she isnt your typical boros beatdown commander and quite like the idea of screwing with someones board wipes
If people are going to wrath the board; they're going to wait until you don't have open to spend. There's also Cyclonic Rift, Coastal Breach, Merciless Eviction, etc
It's a neat idea. I'd still go with Aurelia, the Warleader, Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, etc

I just want to point out that Archangel Avacyn Flip is only white, the flip-side is red-looking, but does not give her red as identity, so she can't be used as a boros commander, but only mono-white.
You can still put her in the list though.

Just looked it up and looks like the red dot gives her red color identity. Didn't know that red dot counts for color identity. Apologies on the wrong answer.

Dont worry, I was aware already. amd simce I play 4 player pods even stopping one board wipe can be massive for me..

Linvala, Jazal, Aurelia, and Gisela are all better commanders for white-based, creature-centric decks. You have even more options if you go GW or something. She's playable, I guess, but not that amazing if I'm honest. Playing her is a good idea until decks become a little more dishonest.

The color identity is clarified in the Rule 903.4c
'The back of a double faced card (See rule 711) is included when determining a card's color identity. This is an exception to rule 711.4a'

freakman13: You wouldn't be able to run Blood Moon in a Mono- EDH deck.
McKz: I agree with Boza on his suggestion of partnering Akiri, Line-Slinger and Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder. I won't lie, I kind of doubted Akiri and Bruse at first but seeing them together made me sorry for my doubts. A card I would recommend if you do use Akiri/Bruse is Tamiyo's Journal.
Journal produces Clue tokens which are Token Artifacts that count towards Akiri's ability as well as itself counting towards the buff
Clues give you card advantage if needed
If you happen to accumulate 3 Clues with the Journal then you can tutor an answer

Archangel Avacyn Flip is a cool boros commander that does quite a lot different to other boros commanders.
If I had to bet on a boros commander, I would do Akiri, Line-Slinger and Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder.
