New M15 Slivers, yay or nay?

As the title suggests, what's the consensus on the M15 slivers in EDH? IMHO the Sliver Hivelord & Sliver Hive are going to make the cut but I'm undecided on the 5 new uncommons.

What say ye?

Nay... because I don't play Slivers.

Constricting Sliver makes all your slivers Banisher Priest , which is pretty useful.

Maybe Venom Sliver . First sliver to grant deathtouch

Belligerent Sliver is simply a more expensive Two-Headed Sliver .

Probably not Diffusion Sliver . It's EDH, so players have mana to spare and generic boardwipes.

Probably Not Leeching Sliver . Only affects one player.

I think Diffusion Sliver and Venom Sliver will see play more then the other 3 with Belligerent Sliver and Constricting Sliver working there way into a good amount of Sliver decks but Leeching Sliver is pretty lackluster in my opinion

Haha Wic_Uber, fair enough!

brokendwarf, Toxin Sliver is kind of deathtouch which I'm already running although the cheaper CC might be worthwhile.

I think in combination Sliver Hivelord and Diffusion Sliver will be nice, since it helps mitigate that boardwipe problem a bit. At least the "destroy" ones. A small price to pay for not having them rip off your face...or whatever other horrible things slivers would do to you...

I think adding the redundancy of Belligerent Sliver will be a good thing. Making things hard to block is usually good in tribal decks.

All the 2 drops are really great. Leeching Sliver seams to be the best imo. Constricting Sliver is fine too, nice effect, but so expensive cmc.

Oh shoot, didn't see this was about edh. I guess think constricting sliver would be an all-star then. Maybe Venom Sliver too.

Keep in mind Toxin Sliver prevents regeneration, which is better then just deathtouch in my opinion.

Agreed sonicizslow. I've added Constricting Sliver , Sliver Hive & Sliver Hivelord to my deck for now. So far so good, the Hivelord is just ridiculous for obvious reasons. As brokendwarf pointed out, exiling creature threats is definitely useful - Paired nicely with Sliver Queen .

Just built my first Sliver deck with a full arted Sliver Hivelord (edited by my wonderful girlfriend)as the commander and It runs like a charm. I run a Diffusion Sliver as early game protection if a cant draw into my Crystalline Sliver before i have to search it out. Constricting Sliver is silly, especially with the Sliver Hive and even Sliver Queen . All in all I am pleased with the return of slivers and feel like the Sliver Hivelord may have broken slivers in EDH slightly.

venom, constricting, diffusion, hive, hivelord, all good.

I think Constricting Sliver depends on your deck. I think it'll be best in the silly mass reanimation sliver decks, where you win games by suddenly having a zillion slivers on board, and swinging in for lethal. It can remove a dozen threats. Sliver queen will also be really sweet with it.

The biggest problem with it, though, is when EVERY SINGLE GREEN DECK EVER has stupid Asceticism . (Yes, I am mad salty about that)

BTW, if anybody wants a foil, miscut Belligerent Sliver , I've got one!

Constricting Sliver sounds fairly good for EDH, especially with Sliver Queen as the commander. Before I realized this was an EDH discussion, I was gonna say that Diffusion Sliver's and Leeching Sliver's abilities stacked. Leeching Sliver is a boss in standard, but I guess not here...
