A simple strategy: defeat your opponent by overwhelming them with cheap, unblockable creatures and rack up 10 Poison counters before they can mount a counteroffensive. Speed is key here; you have no blocking ability of your own, and so mana ramping to be able to put out your shadow creatures is a high priority. This list in particular was also built with a budget in mind; rarer, more expensive lands would be a boon to those who can afford them, but as it stands the deck performs just as well without.
