I playtested it without reading what it did and got Griselband and emrakul turn one without summoning sickness, sounds like fun to me.

Another thing you can do is play Tendrils of Agony ... the miser actually allows for a lot more kills than you might think

When you discard emrakul doesnt your whole graveyard shuffle? I could be wrong, but I dont think reanimating him works.

Yea,but his ability is triggered, meaning you can respond with either Goryo's Vengeance or Shallow Grave since they are both instant speed. This this will still put him into play and then the graveyard will shuffle but without emrakul in the yard though.

Even if you miss turn 1, ie. Emrakul and entombs at bottom of library, you can strip the opponent of their hand and win turn 2. Also, next time you netdeck, say so in the description.

how do you deal with a turn 0 Leyline of the Void?

Kaitoghost, game 1 there are times in which you can hardcast a Griselbrand and hope to ride it to victory, but post board can use Chain of Vapor.

Congratulations. I've been playing Grisel Cannon variant in modern and in November I decided to start trying to build Tin Fins as the Legacy equivalent. I think majority of the lists are the same, just glad to see the deck do well.

It's not a turn one kill if Reanimate is involved in any of the above turn one scenario you described. Also, Griselbrand paired with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, would swing for a total of 22 damage, not 21.

shedidthistome: the Reanimate is no longer in the mainboard since the addition of tendrils, but you could still combo, you would still draw cards but you would reanimate a Children of Korlis first to have more life to work with and then draw and reanimate a 2nd Griselbrand with haste. It was just a main goal to put Griselbrand into play because its hard to fizzle when drawing 7-21 cards to complete a combo.

@ryuzaki32667, oh okay cool. I was just going by what you wrote in the description, I wasn't aware of your new gameplan. Seems like a fun deck, like an explosive Reanimator deck. I just don't like how it relies on a very specific opening hand or at least very specific cards in order to combo the right way, plus not much in the way of combo protection either. I think the more you have to wait to combo, the more chances your opponent has to draw countermagic and/or answers to your strategy. I used to play a mono-black Reanimator myself before I went to the dark side of U/B (yes I am aware this is Tin Fins, but mono-black Reanimator does share some similarities).

I currently play a UB reanimator (+1 if you like!) deck and I just love these type of decks, they are so much fun to play, win or lose! I've actually been doing surprisingly well lately, even against bad matchups like Jund with a lot of mainboard hate.

@shedidthistome Ha yea this like traditional reanimator except it replaces the countermagic for raw speed. that's why a lot of the combo decks usually run the full sets of Brainstorm and Ponder to set it up if they don't "have it" right away. Counter spells are always troublesome, if i have extra discard effects in hand i'll fire them off at the opponent and the semi-spicy inclusion of silence as well makes them irreverent.
