The general concept here is to stall out with Slitherhead , Korozda Guildmage , Trestle Troll , and the like until i can get a big beater in the form of Deadbridge Goliath or big ol' Ooze from Slime Molding . I also love using card:Jarad's Orders to pick up either a Dreg Mangler or Deadbridge Goliath in my hand, and then putting Slitherhead into the graveyard for an instant +1+1. I have every single card here from fat pack and booster box pulls, so even though it has a few 1 or 2 dollar cards, this deck didn't cost me a dime. Coolstuffinc.com though shows you could get the whole 60 card stack, ready to play for under $30.

Nice looking casual! I was just thinking of putting together this kind of deck so thanks for the informative description.

Your deck is really cool, and nice description! What do you think of upping the Lotleth Troll count to 4 (it's really one of the strongest cards in the deck; maybe cut one Korozda Guildmage since they don't work well in multiples, and one Treasured Find) and adding a couple copies of Putrefy? It's better and easier to cast than Murder, and still budget.

My friend has a deck very similar to this one, and he would always stall effectively with cheap deathtouchers, like Pharika's Chosen or Wasteland Viper), and then use Grisly Salvage to dig and put creatures in the grave to get scavenge value and to cast Nemesis of Mortals for 2. It's another direction, but both look very effective.

Also, if you really wanna pimp out the deck (though it might be at the expense of your casual group), Creakwood Liege is probably one of the best 4 drops you can play (I like it more than Demonlord of Ashmouth personally; I don't like saccing creatures, especially not twice). It makes your entire team a huge threat, creates 3/3's every turn, and stacks in multiples very well. I think the TCG price is a bit off too; my store sells them for $1.50 each.

I definitely do think that a 1-mana deathtoucher is better than Rakdos Cackler in your deck. Cackler is great in an aggro shell, but is terrible at stalling since it can't block, and creates no value from dying unlike your other creatures. Your deck can likely out-grind many others when the game goes long, and so something like Pharika's Chosen can easily clog up the ground for a few turns and buy you a lot of time.
