Test-Phase casual Primal Surge deck - Trying to find an odd, but seemingly consistant win method without looking dangerous early/mid game.Rules: - Only Permanents except for Primal Surge. - Must look weak in order not to attract attention. - Must be budget. - Cannot include too many weird old cards. - Overcomplicating things is appreciated, no simple solutions.
After Primal Surge:
Pentavus
will make quadrouble amount of tokens due to 2xParallel Lives. 2 mana = remove a token and create 4 new. Use the Contagion Engine with yourself as target. You can resolve many pentavites before the -1 on all creatures resolve. This means that all my pentavites will be killed triggering "When a creature dies" effects.
Selhoff Occultist
Multiple Geralf's Mindcrusher which before Contagion Engine triggers on yourself, can be sacked to Ashnod's Altar. When Geralf's Mindcrusher enters the battlefield (taking another 5 cards off someones deck), they can be sacked again to Ashnod's Altar. so every Geralf's Mindcrusher mills for 15 cards (total of 60 if all 4 are on the battlefield).
Jaddi Lifestrider
can also trigger when everything goes down. This means that you can generate all your pentavites and gain 2 life from each before everything dies.
Spawnsire of Ulamog, one of these and 2xParallel Lives kinda makes infinite mana. So if your opponent plays a LAME combo on you. you can go an Emrakul and a handful of other Eldrazi and crush whatever lame combo he is doing ;)If you have
Jaddi Lifestrider
trigger on the stack, you can also use this to gain infinite amount of life (Unless your Contagion Engine trigger comes before the
Jaddi Lifestrider
trigger. However, if you know you just want the life, you can set the engine to trigger on your opponent.
Nullmage Shepherd is my preferred anti-artifact/enchantments in a deck like this. Because you can keep doing it!
Akroma's Memorial speaks for itself. (The haste means a lot)
