Exploiting the Chromatic Lantern without seeming gimmicky or dependent. The deck runs well with mono blue for most of the game, then explodes once the lanterns come out.

The Nightveil Specter is great in many ways, but even better when the lantern hits the table. Same thing with the Grinning Totem . The Cromat is the icing on the cake, but not a necessary winning component either. The lantern also combos awesomely with the Maze of Ith.

Steel of the Godhead synergizes well with Augury Adept , Judge's Familiar , Cromat and even the Nightveil Specter . The Civic Saber then adds a nice extra boost to all the multicolored creatures.
