Naya Resurgence —Sept. 21, 2016
HEY! Been a while since my last update,I was playing other decks I built, Maelstrom Wanderer, Niv-Mizzet, Muzzio/Memnarch, and Phage..but it's time to come back to the party with Mayael and her buddies, but now with new toys!
I removed a few things here and there, and I am relatively happy with the direction that we have gone with this deck.
Cards that got cut since last time...Krosan Grip Split second is killer, but wanna know what it isn't killer against? Purphoros, God of the Forge...I was holding Krosan Grip and Purphoros got resolved, worst game ever and made me feel horrible.
In it's place we have the beautiful Return to Dust since exile is a gorgeous thing.
Moldgraf Monstrosity bit the dust as well in favor of Sigarda, Host of Herons because of some Prossh/Meren/Lilianna sacrifice tribal decks that make life almost impossible.
I am also experimenting with Nahiri, the Harbinger as well. Card draw in Naya is almost non-existent so being able to add some form of card draw as well as exile make it a much desired test.
I have also been playing with the idea of Wild Pair and Selvala's Stampede as well as the beautiful Selvala, Heart of the Wilds because A) Card draw is nice. B) Mana ramp of 5-11/turn is absurd, and C) who doesn't want to play with her?! I think she can find a nice place in my deck.
As usual I am also looking for a place to put Exploration and Burgeoning so if anyone ahs any thoughts on what to remove for these 5 new toys, I would love to hear it..as usual I am still trying to find a place for Natural Order as well!
