Could you give a brief description of the main combos and how you would play it?

it's control, I prevent myself from dying in the most efficient way I can until my opponent runs out of gas then the deck will usually finish the job with a Jace. Control decks are often build to act differently depending on what deck they're playing against, it works best when the user can predict what actions their opponent will do, a control deck usually requires one to spend dozens of hours playtesting against various builds of possible decks before one can be efficient in using it.

In short the deck plays not to get some combo out and there isn't one line of play the deck wants to go, it just out advantages it's opponent until Jace, Memory Adept ends the game, if done right the opponent should probably be ready to give up long before you actually bother to win.

It should be noted that match-up results without looking into sideboards should be taken with a grain of salt.

About 10 of my 15 are anti-control.

Are you aware that you can't have two planeswalkers of the same subtype on the battlefield at the same time? You really shouldn't run more than three Jaces total.

Not a big deal. Jaces are prone to dying, anyways.

That's true (besides Jace Beleren ).... Six jaces just seemed like it was pushing it.

zandl I did mention in the last sentence about what of your sideboard cards seemed problematic aside from sigarda requiring a board wipe and garruk being an epic planeswalker I've found Witchbane Orb to be simply a temporary annoyance until I draw into the answer for it.

As for matchups without sideboarding my deck is extremely durdly, during the playtest session against your deck each game took at least a half hour as for how I playtested your deck I did my best to play around counterspells and board wipes while keeping the pressure as high as I could, the Azorius Keyrune s did a lot of damage and as a suggestion maybe try out Selesnya Keyrune for a couple of playtest sessions as they seem like they could do a bit more damage to control.

And Blakkhand up against decent to very competitive decks planeswalkers usually only live for 1-2 turns and there isn't really any other option when I'm not wanting to run creatures, but yeah against casual decks (like the ones people at my college have been running) usually I'm stuck discarding excess jaces as they can't put enough pressure to make me cast spells half the time.

I like it. It works pretty damn well. I think I'm gonna start testing a similar list.

I would add black for Nephalia Drownyard because that with jace would be pretty good

i'm wondering a few things...do you have any trouble getting slowed down by the guidlgates? also, are you running only 1 snapcaster for a reason or is it just what you're budgeted for? i like the list, don't take any of this as negative criticism.

capriom85 to answer your questions the guildgates I find to be necessary for consistently getting the right combination of colored mana, in my testing I found 3 copies to be good enough for this effect without causing a noticeable slow down in the game, though I don't know if slowed down would be the right term for this deck as it isn't fast by nature.

As for the only snapcaster that is deliberate (I do own a play set) as the deck has almost no use for the body and it's usually used as an extra counterspell, an extra Revelation, and those rare games that I'm losing to another mill strategy and I need to flashback a Psychic Spiral .

For the deck overall I will admit that it's starting to feel a little stale, even though there hasn't been a tournament that I've attended with it yet I didn't walk away with some of the prize pool. The control game can be boring and I hope to find room for some of the gatecrash.

whats the win condition?

Well the deck prefers to beat it's opponent by boring them do death, but it does either win though milling or dealing small amounts of damage with Staff of Nin or Blind Obedience . My personal favorite is to ultimate Tamiyo, then use Ghost Quarter to blow up all my opponent's lands for the next half hour. Or maybe ultimate Jace, Memory Adept , discard down to 7, then on my opponent's upkeep cast a Psychic Spiral backed up with a Dissipate .

why not run some Nephalia Drownyard s and add another win condition to your deck?

I had been trying to avoid messing with my mana base, but I've decided to try it now and they seem to be working fine, I've had only 1 out of 25 games hit a fixing issue.
