Don't be a Dingus!

Legacy

AnRKey5993

Here we go with my second attempt at this deck! This one has a much better win rate so far so yippee!

Anyway here we go with the Onulet Dingus deck! I also kinda wanna call this the Don't be a Dingus deck but whatever. This deck is gonna work with mainly these 5 cards.

-Onulet-Dingus Egg-Black Vise-Ankh of Mishra-Armageddon

We also have a few other fun synergies that work out with this deck that I'll get into! Essentially when this deck starts working it pretty much doesn't care what your opponent does and against some deck types they aren't even allowed to play magic.

Here I'll list the 5 main win cons or win con set ups that you'll see while playing this deck

-Onulet's Vise-

This win con can actually win the game on turn 3! Wow what is this vintage?! All jokes aside this win con runs with our Black Vise and our Howling Mine. I have at times have 3 Black Vise on turn 1, play them all by turn 2, and have my opponent scoop turn 3. However, much more common is we use Black Vise to wither our opponent down and Howling Mine forcing them to draw more cards than they can play per turn making them lose up to 3 life per turn and sometimes more if we can get multiples out.

Pretty dirty if ya ask me!

-Mishra's Vise-

We all have some Vise's in our life, and Mishra's Vise is apparently that he likes to watch people not play Magic.

In this win con we play turn 1 Black Vise, turn 2 Ankh of Mishra, potentially turn 3 Black Vise and Howling Mine to just watch our opponents struggle to figure out how to dump their hand as quick as possible without playing lands. Sometimes this can happen sometimes it just can't, and sometimes we get asked to not come back and play with our playgroup because they actually do want to play Magic.

-Onulet's Tower-

Onulet is an artifact frog diamond rock creature thing that gains us life, and where would an artifact frog diamond rock creature thing live?

Well Ivory Tower of course!

This isn't really a win con so much as a set up but boy does it sometimes feel like a win con. With our Howling Mine, Ivory Tower, AND our lovely Library of Leng we can potentially gain 20+ life a turn, I've actually gained over 50 life in a single turn before because I just stop playing cards after my board state looks a certain way.

This also is helped by Land Tax, which although the money card of this deck does just give us potentially 3-12 more life per turn.

-the End of the World (As We Know It)-

Armageddon and Wrath of God.

Oh should I say more? Well if your opponent actually feels like playing Magic just wipe the board, and if one wipe isn't good enough wipe it again. Wipe it 3 times for all I care, but no more, because we only have 3 of each.

Yet again not a win con but definitely stalls for our win con or to just wither them down with Black Vise.

-Don't be a Dingus-

There we go. The deck name win con. Here we are. Pressure is on. Gotta make it epic. Lets go.

So the Don't be a Dingus win con is mostly just setting up Dingus Egg with Armageddon, however this can kill us too which according to most people is a bad thing. So what we have to do is NOT be a dingus and gain more life than our opponent and survive our own land wipe.

Pretty basic win con but super toxic and super fun, for you.

So let's talk the elephant in the room, yes we are throwing a playset of Land Tax in here. Sorry. This does skyrocket the price for a deck that isn't gonna win ya the pro tour anytime soon, but if you're down for it or have some lying around it does just help.

If ya just don't want to spend 100 dollars on one playset you can add a playset of Healing Salve I guess, but it's not gonna be nearly as good.

Ah well, there's the deck. Lemme know what you think and definitely +1 if ya like it!
