Deathspitter

Pauper

Vezerick

The goal of this deck is to combo with and indestructible Frilled Deathspitter and Guilty Conscience creating an infinite "Stuffy Doll" type effect, wether Deathspitter is blocked or not, it either deals damage or receives damage and the combo happens. Fanatical Firebrand can also help set off the combo if Deathspitter is summoning sick. I used to run Heliod's Pilgram to tutor for Guilty Conscience, but having to reveal your combo piece give the opponent a chance to prepare, a risk this deck can't take. Instead of tutoring we use Magma Jet and Faithless Looting and Insolent Neonate to rummage, and Gods Willing to Scry. Tragic poet will get Guilty Conscience back if it's countered. Ajani's Presence and Ephemeral Shields make Deathspitter indestructible, Lapse of Certainty to protect the combo, and lastly Skirk Prospector to sacrifice either itself or a Fanatical Firebrand for mana. I've tried splashing in blue, but three colors in pauper equals too much tapped land for me. In the sideboard is another Lapse of Certainty for playing mono blue or perhaps someone running Celestial Flare. The sideboard also has Celestial Flare for Voltron/Boggle decks, Coalition Honor Guard for observing burn spells, Elecktrickery for tokens, Pyroblast for counterspells, Gorilla Shaman for artifacts and Flairing Pain for fog effects that might stop the combo. In the maybe slot I put Explorer's Scope because it actually looks like an amazing card, a great way to ramp off the top of the deck getting you closer to what you want to draw instead of having to search for a land and then shuffle the deck.
