Hey what's up I recently played a very similar deck in the state championship and did not really do that well although the deck is pretty sweet so I was wondering about Elvish Mystic in the deck as an even faster accelerator and a turn one play as well with Archangel of Thune could become an army. You would also be able to play turn 2 Courser of Kruphix and turn 3 Advent of the Wurm and with luck a turn 3 Elspeth, Sun's Champion . Anyways let me know what you think of the card in this deck or is it to low impact.

I'm sure you have heard this before... but how sacrilegious is it to call this a "Cabin In The Woods" deck - and not have one gods-damned Merman in here. There are so many amusing ones to choose from - (Sygg, River Cutthroat - Because I think you would get that extra card a lot and it kinda looks like the one from the film. Gravelgill Duo - Not too useful, but looks a bit like the thing from the film. Merrow Bonegnawer - Could be useful against other black decks. & lastly Prime Speaker Zegana if only you had room for blue (which I'm sure you don't) as this could be useful and huge - although it looks nothing like the creature from the film.)

However +1 For putting together something that more or less shows (either by mistake or on purpose) some of the creatures from that nutty movie. Kudos.

I've thought that junk was going to be a strong deck since Theros came out. This deck just has such a hard time finding a bad matchup. It has removal of all sorts and beaters at the same time. My only suggestion would be tinker a way to fit a Voice of Resurgence in. But then again I'm a sucker for value creatures. Awesome deck

I have to agree, voice could easily replace Sylvan Caryatid in the control matchup.

Holy shit folks, this thing blew up. First off Urzas_Lawnmower thanks for all the suggestions. BUG deck in the future maybe possibly...? I dunno. Now that you mention it though I almost don't feel the deck's worthy of its name due to lack of mermen. Damn it. :P

And as far as Voice of Resurgence goes, I agree wholeheartedly on putting it in but the question is really just what comes out of the sideboard. I could see removing an Erebos, God of the Dead for it and possibly a Sin Collector , as I'm really underwhelmed with Collector as a card on the whole. I'll make that change and leave it at that for now.

All that being said (and jokes aside) I really do consider the main board complete at this point. Voice is a good addition that I think will help the deck.
