Academy Rector -> Brash Taunter. Simply put, Academy is good but expensive. Brash will help protect my board a bit and help deal damage towards whomever is the bigger threat.

Hunting Wilds -> Rampant Growth. Hunting Wilds is expensive to cast and is only concerned about forests, which I have just a few of. This is better ramp for this deck.

Bound / Determined -> Kodama's Reach. Bound was the goal of this one and I'm just not liking how expensive it is to cast and given pretty much all the creatures are indestructible, I feel like it'll be a dead card more often than not when drawn. Let's get more ramp.

Abjure -> Explosive Vegetation. I really don't know why I slotted this. It's not a great counter and requires a pricey sac I may not even have available. Even more ramp!

Natural Order -> Cultivate. While this sac outlet could be used with the Child, it's still a little pricier. EVEN MORE RAMP

I'm also going to be switching out several of the shock lands for things like scry lands to try to get the cost down further. I only work in this price range for cEDH high power decks and this is supposed to be fun gods jank.

Yeah, Bearer is in the maybe if only because my current play group steers away from mass land destruction. However, to use as a nuclear deterrent would be hilarious.

You actually don't need to reanimate Child of Alara anymore. They changed the way death triggers work for commanders a little while ago...now you can have it just go to the command Zone and still get the death trigger.

That was part of my inspiration to build this deck since it's been in the back of my mind for awhile. I wanted to go ahead and use the graveyard recursion because it'd be easier to get the baby back on the field as a deterrent or another board wipe in case my gods haven't hit devotion yet and I'm vulnerable. Plus, it frees up my mana to cast the gods instead of worrying about the commander tax on an already not-as-easy-to-cast commander. If it dies without the reanimation, that's cool since the trigger still hits. But if it dies while I have reanimation, I can get it back on the field at anytime and still give focus to getting those gods out.
