Updates!!

Play-testing recently has lead to well played mono B beating my face in as I can't seem to answer Pack Rat or Desecration Demon unless I have a Chained to the Rocks in hand. And even then I have 3 Chained vs 4Rats and 4 DD's. So it's time to play with the SB (first 2 weeks there was only one Mono B player, now there are 5!). As I have mentioned to people in several PM's, this deck will always be changing and evolving based on MY meta. I'll always keep changed cards in the maybe board if they are removed from main deck/side board. Please don't think this deck in a carbon copy will come in like a wrecking ball in every meta, it is very dependent, like with all lists :)

Originally I added 2x Fall of the Hammer as it pumps heroics and kills targets; as well as 1x Mizzium Mortars as overloaded this handles lots of rats and doesn't kill me like Anger of the Gods does.

After thinking for awhile I changed my approach. I dropped those from the SB, as well as 1x Celestial Flare and slipped in 3x Pithing Needle and 1x Assemble the Legion.

This came abut after a bit of research online and watching a friend play his Boros Burn deck vs a Mono B player on MTGO. Pithing Needle handles the rats pretty thoroughly, stopping their named activation. it can also halt Underworld Connections and Erebos, God of the Dead. Assemble the Legion is a card I have loved from GTC drafting, and I always wanted to try in standard. This is a solid way to answwer Desecration Demon

After a few days testing and some frinedly games at a mates house this weekend I will update how the new changes work out for the deck

@ Phat_Shadow that is what was aiming for when I returned to MTG. A deck i could play, that was fun, had interactions and required some thought to play that would stand up well with rotation. Losing Boros Charm will hurt a little, but, there are always new cards that may prove as good/better

@ QcAntz It can work with 18 lands if you play Sacred Foundry and Mana Confluence as it allows for smoother colouring, but that takes it away from it's $50 budget :p Mutavault would be something I only played with Mana Confluence , Sacred Foundry and 20 land total as SO many of our spells requre a single coloured land that (1) is sort of a dead draw except for bestowing

Running the better lands helps for sure. I decided to Sb in 1x Mizzium Mortars and 2x Fall of the Hammer as some removal will be beneficial in games such as Mono B
