Hello Fellow Planeswalkers! I am DMFF. I love card games. I began playing card games with the Pokémon TCG in December 1998 and that only lit the fiery passion for cards into the future. I was given a Magic: the Gathering pack sometime in 2000 by my Mom who overheard me talking about the game with some friends. I cannot remember what my rare from my Invasion pack was, but I still have the Opt in NM condition that I pulled from that pack to this very day! My friends at that time also gave me a bunch of cards, so I began playing this wonderful game. I remember seeing Counterspell within the pile I was given, reading what it did and finally being truly amazed that I could play a card that told my opponents "No!". Plus, I found the raw power of Lightning Bolt and Fireball way too amazing to pass up. In early 2002, Yu-Gi-Oh came out and I received my first Starter deck and my first pack which contained a Secret Rare Gaia the Dragon Champion. I was officially hooked on all these wonderful TCGs! Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh are my two most favorite card games to play, collect and talk about with the community.

I love to build decks within all the colors. As I grow in age, so does my appreciation of all the colors, formats and deck archetypes. I mainly play Modern and EDH, but very much enjoy prerelease, draft (cube or from a draft box), block constructed and even Oldschool 93/94 when I get the rare chance! I haven't played Standard or Extended since 2009 during OG Zendikar Block and I never plan to return to Standard. Modern is my main home and where most of my knowledge lies. I create many decks on this site and would love it if you stop by and check them out! Maybe even spark a conversation!

If you love Video Games, Card Games and Board Games as much as I do, check out my YouTube Channel!

NonetheWeisser im glad you liked it! I just recently retooled it and it's really fun! Definitely plays more like a Counter Burn Tempo deck, but that's usually what I think of when I think Wizards!

Not a bad take on the deck at all. Have you tested it to see how it runs?

slvstrChung of course!

Walking Ballista needs to be in the GY with Agatha's Soul Cauldron and Aerith Gainsborough on the field.

  1. Activate Soul Cauldron, exiling the Walking Ballista and putting the +1/+1 counter on Aerith.
  2. Aerith now has a +1/+1 counter and has Walking Ballista's activated abilities due to Soul Cauldron. Activate the Ballista's ability to remove a +1/+1 counter from Aerith to do 1 damage to any target.
  3. Aerith has lifelink. You will gain 1 life, which triggers her effect to give her another +1/+1 counter.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 infinitely!

Hopefully this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions regarding the deck!

I'm glad you like it! Elfball is an absolute classic and it's nice to see a fellow Ezuri enjoyer. I scoped your list and it definitely looks much more optimized! I do like having the flexibility with mine to make minor edits to go all the way down to Bracket 2 since I am very prone to building Bracket 4 decks on the regular. I do still love to bring this to a Bracket 4 table, hold my own, and even win with a deck that costs just over $200.
