Modern Horizons 2 is here!

With Modern Horizons 2 comes some CRAZY Decks like Grief Ephemerate along with the Blitz and Death's Shadow Decks running around. As such, I have tailored the sideboard around dealing with most of these huge metagame threats. We're now in a Meta where I believe 4x Leyline of Sanctity is required. Many Blitz decks have gone the Storm route, so Flusterstorm in the sideboard also helps vs those matchups. Lurrus of the Dream-Den continues to provide value to the deck by getting back any creature, Pyromancer Ascension or Isochron Scepter. Check out the deck description below for all the juicy details!

Sling spells, get Isochron Scepter + Pyromancer Ascension online and burn your foes! This is Isochron Ascension, a tome of Magic that can make any Planeswalker feel what it was like before the Great Mending. This tome features Lurrus of the Dream-Den as a companion. Perfectly suited for this deck, it can keep us alive and also has the benefit of bringing back our Scepter! Meddling Mage & Sprite Dragon are the only creatures we run in this deck and are perfect for this spell-slinging build that is able to generate knowledge through our spells.

Pyromancer Ascension & Isochron Scepter synergize really well together. If you're able to get them both online, the game can pretty much be won from there if your opponent doesn't have any removal for them. We run many 1 and 2 drop instants in the deck that help the deck's goal.

• 4x Counterspell is officially coming to Modern! One of the absolute best cards to imprint!
• 4x Frantic Inventory is a Modern playable Accumulated Knowledge and this deck adores being able to dig deeply with it!
• 4x Lightning Helix acts similarly to our bolt, but nets us 3 life as well.
• 4x Manamorphose allows us to have a mana-fixing cantrip while imprinted. Absolute best cantrip for this deck for that very reason.
• 3x Path to Exile is the most solid removal at the deck's disposal.
• 4x Remand works well with Meddling Mage.
• 2x Silence can be used to shut down our opponent in either upkeep.

In our sideboard, we're able to gear this into a more control focused or aggro focused deck as well. When facing control, we have to just try and take them out as quickly as we can. I hope everyone enjoyed the deck. Give it a try if you like to feel like a spell-slinging Planeswalker!
