This is Phyrexian Tribal Control. Control the game with lots of removal & Counterspells, get Phyrexians on the board, make Phyrexian Tokens, spread Poison Counters AND benefit from it!

I have always liked Ertai, ever since he released back in Exodus as Ertai, Wizard Adept. I enjoyed his quippy personality in the story and loved his effect! I always enjoyed the thought of having a "Counterspell on a stick", which would later be shaped into my various Modern Isochron Scepter decks. It was bittersweet seeing him printed as Ertai, the Corrupted in Planechase, especially knowing what happens to him in the story. I recently had the thought that he would make a great Commander that seldomly gets the recognition he deserves. So, this deck is a Bracket 2 loveletter to Ertai in his Compleated form!

A Bracket 2 deck with fairly high power, I'd say it's roughly a 6/10, considering the limitations within the bracket. Good for pods with upgraded precons or homebrews for the Bracket. Be sure to discuss Toxic/Infect with your Bracket 2 pod as I know some will not allow it. Can be further upgraded to your liking to fit into higher Brackets. The preferred GC upgrades for Bracket 3 would definitely be as follows:

• Vampiric TutorGC
